Cross run in Lüchtringen: Simon Leßmann sprints to victory!

Lüchtringen, Deutschland - On February 2, 2025, this year's cup cross run by athletics friends took place in Lüchtringen. At this event, which was carried out under optimal conditions, numerous athletes started to demonstrate their sporting skills.

Simon Leßmann from TV Jahn Bad Driburg secured the victory and became the East Westphalian master. He completed the 2.7 kilometer route in an impressive time of 29:55 minutes. Jan Kaschura, who started in this event for the eighth time, had to give up again and ended up in third place with a time of 30:29 minutes. Kaschura was respectful of the younger athletes and emphasized her outstanding achievements. Marinko Djak, Kaschura's teammate, ran the route in 35:42 minutes and was satisfied with his performance.

Melanie Behringer and Stefan Brüngel took part in two distances, the short distance of 2.7 kilometers and the longer 7.9 kilometers. Behringer scored times of 14:18 minutes for the 2.7 km and 45:03 minutes for the 7.9 km. Brüngel ran 12:49 minutes (2.7 km) and 40:01 minutes (7.9 km). Chantal Campe was also active and mastered the 7.9 km with a drinking bottle and an energy seal in 43:28 minutes. The short -distance Elke Dorusch ended her race in 16:21 minutes, while Ina Stang took 15:08 minutes and her teammate Melanie Djak ran 17:08 minutes for the 2.7 km.

An exciting duel was delivered by Maximilian Helpenstein with Leonard Müller over three cross -rounds. Müller won the race and Helpenstein was satisfied with the course. Christopher Surmann, the organization chief, thanks over 40 volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. The event was described as consistently through the good weather and the high number of participants, while almost 60 athletes participated in the East Westphalia championships and the mushy route of 2.7 kilometers was a special challenge.

Konstantin Ummen from Lüchtringen took second place and reached the finish in 10:15 minutes, almost a minute after the winner. He knew the course well and decided to run his own pace after finding that the winner was too fast. Ummen plans to train intensively before his long -haul flight to Guatemala on Monday.
