New bike path in Mühlacker: Osttangente L 1134 is becoming safer!

From November 11, 2024, the Osttangente L 1134 will become a construction site in Mühlacker! A large -scale measure, arranged by the Karlsruhe regional council, provides for the construction of two new bike path sections. This represents a significant gap in the cycle path network. In addition, a safe crossing option for cyclists is created, while the roadway is renovated over 150 meters. The construction work should last over a period of about seven months and have been completed for the summer of 2025.

To build the bike path, the L 1134 is initially closed in both directions between the confluence with the B 10 and the roundabout “In the Waldäckern” in November for a month. The detour takes place via the street "In the Waldäckern". From December 2024 there are extensive work to expand the southern and northern part of the bike path. At the same time, the entrance to the company premises must be partially dismantled in order to enable safe crossing for cycling. The total costs amount to around 1.1 million euros, borne by the federal government and the country.
