Investment in the bicycle infrastructure: Erkrath makes the bike path on Europaplatz safer

In Erkrath, the bike path to the Hochdahler Arcaden is subjected to urgently needed renovation to ensure traffic safety for cyclists. The approximately 200 meter long connection between the Europaplatz and the Grünstraße sports field is currently getting targeted repair work from the construction yard of the city of Erkrath.

The work focuses on the pave of surveys caused by roots, as well as the repair of individual cracks in the asphalt ceiling. These measures should help to ensure a smooth bicycle experience on the bike path.

According to the city administration, the renovation is expected to take a week and will be completed by mid -July 2024. During this time, the bike path will be closed to use, but the sidewalk remains accessible for pedestrians.
