Summer in the bathroom: Free hands -on program for young water rats

In the state capital of Munich, the summer vacation began, and the city's outdoor pools open their gates for a wide range of activities. The colorful program is aimed at all children and adolescents aged four to 18 who want to actively let off steam in the city's leisure opportunities.

The Stadtwerke Munich have adapted to the needs of young swimmers and athletes and offer a variety of activities in the three largest outdoor pools in the city - Unererbad, Westbad and Michaelibad. These range from mussel diving and treasure searches to opportunities to try sports such as table tennis, football and beach volleyball. A particularly large highlight is the slide competition that promises excitement and fun.

The "Summer in the Bad" program process

The holiday fun begins in the Unererbad with actions that are offered by Friday, August 9th. Then the other bathrooms come into play: the Westbad succeeds from August 12th to 23rd and the Michaelibad from August 26 to September 6th. The programs take place Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. It is important to note that there are no events on weekends and on the holiday, August 15th.

Special competitions as the highlight

A highlight of the holiday fun is the Minga X-Diving Challenge organized by Free Arts of Movement. This exciting event will take place on August 7th in the Ungererbad, on August 21st in the Westbad and on September 4th in the Michaelibad. Here the participants can register on site from 2 p.m. In addition to a competition, a workshop with experienced X-Diving professionals is also offered, which gives the participants valuable tips.

Particular attention is paid to the accessibility of the program. Children under the age of 12 as well as owners of the Munich Pass and the holiday pass can use the outdoor pools free of charge. Participation in the “Summer in the Bad” event offers is also free of charge for everyone, which makes the initiative particularly attractive for many families.
