FC Neubrandenburg 04: Solid dress rehearsal despite tired legs in the test game

With a narrow 2-1 win against Pasewalker FV, 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 has made an important dress rehearsal before the upcoming cup game. After the match, player coach Daniel Nawotke critically commented on the performance of his troops, but also described the challenges with which the team was faced with.

With regard to player performance

In Nawotke's opinion, the technical and tactical attitude of some players was not at the required level. After intensive training sessions of the past few weeks, many athletes have apparently not been in their heads. "It was also noticed that some players have had heavy legs in the past few weeks," noted the player coach.

Important moments in the game

The first round of a game, like that against the Pasewalker FV, was characterized by mutual scanning. The host defended effectively and left the FCN hardly any room for offensive actions. Nevertheless, in the second half, the Neubrandenburgers managed the 1-0 lead through a securely converted penalty from Nawotke.

After compensation by a header from Stefan Block on Pasewalker side, the FCN could have taken the lead again. But the final phase was decided by a free kick, which was used by Dennis Kühl to win 2-1. Shortly before the end, Maisam Jaffari almost increased the result, but failed on the post.

View of the cup game

Despite the critical notes on performance, Nawotke was optimistic about the upcoming cup game against TSV 1860 Stralsund. He assured that the team would prepare intensively and let another team see. The positive comment by the Pasewalker trainer, Daniel Pankau, also underlined that the difference between the teams was not very big.

Compilation of the team

The installation of the FCN was striking because they had to do without several experienced players. The squad consisted of the players Haack, Langer, Fischer, Pulse, Abrahams, Merein, Voß, Fassinger, Lisch, Kühl and Anvarbek, with Nawotke celebrating its own comeback in the second half.

In summary, it can be said that the FCN was able to uncover some construction sites in a solid guest appearance against Pasewalk that affect both team dynamics and individual fitness. With a mature tactic and the targeted preparation for the cup test, the team from Neubrandenburg should be able to master upcoming challenges.
