Hanover newly chooses: Left overtake Greens in several parts of the city!
With the preliminary result of the 2025 Bundestag election in Hanover, some surprises came to light. According to a report by haz.de have received the most second votes in five districts. The districts are Linden-Süd (29.7 %), Nordstadt (30.1 %), Linden-Nord (34.7 %), Limmer (24.9 %) and Hainholz (22.2 %). In some of these districts, the left have replaced the Greens as the strongest party. Maren Kaminski, the chairwoman of the left in Hanover, was able to move into the Bundestag via a list and emphasized that the voters have paid attention to the implementation of politics. In Mühlenberg, the AfD received the most second votes with 26.4 %, followed by the SPD (24.5 %) and the CDU (20.0 %). The left came to 12.1 %, while the Greens only recorded 4.7 %.

While the SPD receives 16.4 % nationwide, it is 22.1 % in Hanover. The situation is similar with the Greens who come to 11.6 % in the federal government, but reach 21.3 % in Hannover.
