Energy transition forward: New office in Heide informs about electricity and gas!

Süderstraße, 25746 Heide, Deutschland - The SH Netz AG recently opened a new energy office in Heide, in the Dithmarschen district. This took place on Monday and is intended to serve as an information center for electricity and gas connections. Visitors are given the opportunity to clarify questions about photovoltaic systems and private wall boxes. In addition, SH Netz AG emphasizes the importance of municipalities in Dithmarschen as an essential partner in the implementation of their goals.

The energy office is located on Süderstrasse, right next to the post office, and is open from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The increase in renewable energies

The number of renewable energy systems in the Dithmarschen district has already more than doubled last year. A total of 2,330 new systems with a total output of 268 megawatts were connected to the network. This marks a significant increase compared to the previous year and a tenfold compared to 2019. At the turn of the year 2023/24, over 10,700 renewable energy plants were in operation, with a total output of 2,608 megawatts. Of these, 2,250 MW comes from wind power, 350 MW from small photovoltaic systems and 8 MW from power storage.

In order to meet the requirements of the energy transition, SH Netz AG has created 250 new jobs. In addition, a special online portal for feeders was introduced, which promotes digitization and optimization of the processes. With the EE network navigation system, future feeders receive information about technical framework and can carry out virtual tests of system sizes. SH Netz AG is the operator of the electricity and gas pipes for around 2.8 million customers in Schleswig-Holstein and makes a contribution to the sustainable energy supply by connecting wind turbines and solar systems.

In addition, the company participates in innovative energy solutions such as smart city applications and electromobility. Projects for feeding biogas or hydrogen into the natural gas network should further promote climate protection. SH Netz AG is aiming for climate neutrality by 2030, which also includes the changeover of its locations, vehicle fleet and the operation of the electricity and gas networks, such as WaermePumpe-bwp.de reported.
