Retter in the parking lot: Police hold perpetrators after a dramatic incident

In the early morning hours of Sunday, around 6:30 a.m., an attempted robbery was carried out in a parking lot of a car rental company on Okenstrasse. Two men aged 36 and 40 were attacked by three younger perpetrators who asked them to pay a low four -digit sum monthly. When the men refused, they were threatened with violence and they are said to have been beaten.

The mischief did not go unnoticed: a patrol car crew by the federal police saw the incident and hurried to help. Two of the three suspects immediately disappeared, while the third, a man in a sprinter with a Berlin license plate. In the subsequent search, two Ukrainian citizens aged 20 and 21 were arrested. The younger one was put into custody at the order of the judge, while the older one was released after he was able to make his innocence credible. The police are still looking for witnesses who have information about the third suspect.
