Driver fleeing on Heidestrasse: two accidents in just 25 minutes

On Friday afternoon, August 30th, Heidestraße in Recklinghausen experienced a number of curious and unfortunate events. Within a short period of time, exactly 25 minutes, two traffic accidents occurred, in which the responsible drivers each committed drivers. The Recklinghausen police report on these incidents and the significant damage to property that occurred.

The first incident occurred at 4:56 p.m. on Heidestraße 34b. An attentive witness heard a loud bang that noticed him. When he looked out of the window, he discovered a damaged vehicle whose exterior mirror had fallen. There was another car next to this vehicle, the driver of which apparently looked out of the window nervously. After he had made sure that the witness had noticed the incident, the driver took off his dust. The property damage caused by the accident is estimated at around 5,000 euros.

The second accident

Just a few minutes later, at 5:21 p.m., the second accident occurred at Heidestraße 1a. Here a woman stood at a red traffic light in her vehicle when a previously unknown driver touched her car. The accident caused the exterior mirror of the vehicle causing. But as with the first incident, the driver turned quickly without leaving his contact details or worrying about the damage. The property damage that occurred here amounts to around 1,550 euros.

The two accidents show questionable behavior in road traffic. Driver is not only a violation of the law, but also a sign of a lack of responsibility. In both cases, the polluters would have had the opportunity to leave their data or report to the victims to clarify the situation. Instead, they chose the simpler but morally questionable way to steal responsibility.

This repeated tactic of the driver's flight not only leaves financial damage, but can also have serious emotional and psychological effects on the victims concerned. Especially since the feeling of fainting and injustice often sits deeper when someone gets away with impunity.
