In the night of April 6, 2025, a dramatic predatory extortion of a taxi driver occurred in Bergen-Ekheim. The 58-year-old driver was attacked by an unknown man, a 45-year-old perpetrator with a slim stature and black hair, while waiting at an address in Triebstrasse. The perpetrator showed a firearm and threatened the victim.

After a taxi ride from Sachsenhausen to Bergen-Kheim, the driver had brought his passenger and waited for him to get his money. But when the perpetrator returned, the situation escalated: with blows, he put the driver under pressure and ultimately escaped without paying the travel costs. The police have started the investigation and is looking for information on the fleeting suspect who also speaks broken German.
