Insolvency shock in Rendsburg: Werften fight for survival!

The bankruptcy of the Nobiskrug shipyard in Rendsburg caused great concern in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde region on February 3, 2025. FSG-Nobiskrug Holding GmbH and the subsidiaries Flensburger Schiffbau Gesellschaft, FSG-Nobiskrug Design GmbH and Nobiskrug Yachts GmbH are affected. Lars Windhorst, who was most recently registered as managing director, presented a new management six months ago. In the efforts to be a solution to the shipyards, Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck is also involved, who has announced support in the search for potential investors. Despite the difficulties, there are positive signals: works councils express relief about the bankruptcy and the possibility of a realignment. Lars Windhorst explained that he would like to stick to the renovation of the shipyards.
