New quarter in Krampnitz: living space for 10,000 Potsdamer from 2025!

In the Krampnitz district of Potsdam, a gigantic residential project for around 10,000 people is being built! The first residents are to move in on a former barracks site that once served the Wehrmacht and was later used by the Red Army. The first 186 rental apartments will already be renovated by the Buwog, a subsidiary of Vonovia, and ready for occupancy from 2025. A total of up to 1,450 apartments are planned, including subsidized rental apartments and extensive commercial space.

The entire building is to be realized in several phases. A highlight of the project will be completed by the city square east, in 2029 with a staff building in need of renovation, which will offer 54 condominiums and commercial space. The ongoing boom in Berlin's surrounding area forces the city to react: the advertising industry is experiencing an upswing and the infrastructure is expanded. Two neighborhood garages and an underground car park are to be built by 2032. The investment amount is about one billion euros. Interested parties for the monument-friendly renovation of the former officer casino can submit their concepts by February according to development city.de .
