Derby victory for Straßberg: Harthausen and Frommern continue to fight
In the current Landesliga season, TSV Straßberg won its first of the many awaited "threes". On Friday evening they triumphed 2-1 in the derby against FC 07 Albstadt. The match was characterized by passionate football, whereby Straßberg's coach, Stefan Bach, underlined the challenge of the game: "It was a heated game with many emotions. We knew that we had to defend 90 minutes and rely on switching moments."
The first half brought an early tour for Straßberg: striker Alexej Strom used a precise flank from Kelm and brought his team 1-0 in the 16th minute. On the other hand, the coach of Albstadt, Samed Akbaba, felt dissatisfied with the goal. "A stupid goal that has fallen too easily," he noted before moving new players after half -time to bring a breath of fresh air to his team.
Dramatics and turning points
In the second half, Albstadt was able to put up more pressure and play out greater chances, but the defense against Straßberg was withstanding. In the 83rd minute, the hosts increased by Brian Bischoff to 2-0. "The 2-0 was a gift," reflected Akbaba, who realized that the opposing striker used a short back pass from Samed Güngör ice cold. Although Denis Banda scored the connecting goal in the 98th minute, it was too late to believe in a turn of the game.
The promoted TSV Frommern is currently struggling with difficulties. In the game against SV Croatia Reutlingen, they had to give up for the third time in a row and are still there without points. The decisive goal was 1-2 shortly before the final whistle. Coach Jan Dehner notes that the team plays good football in five of the six halves, but they are actually there with zero points. "These are facts that certainly don't speak for us. But if we continue playing like this, let's get enough points to keep the class," he assures optimistically.
Fights in the Verbandsliga
In the association league, TSG Balingen 2 recently had a challenging game against FC Esslingen. After turning an early deficit into a 2-1 lead, they ended up 2: 4. Trainer Philipp Wolf describes the situation and explains that "maybe simply was missing from rip -off and cleverness" to take a point with you. The opponent's late hit after a counterattack could no longer be prevented and brought the Balinger into a difficult position in the league.
In addition, the Harthausen team is hit by the violation of Akin Aktepe, who contracted a ligament tear in the ankle during the derby against pious. "I suspect that I will be out for four to six weeks," said Aktepe. The entire team must now adapt and continue working without this important player what a challenge for the team will be.
