Hechingen Wine Festival: A Feast of the Senses at the Johannesbrücke
The Hechingen Wine Festival, which was organized by the city marketing association, was a resounding success this year. Numerous visitors gathered at the Johannesbrücke at the weekend to enjoy the festivities around the vine juice. Although the Zollernalbkreis is not one of the traditional wine growing areas, the high number of visitors shows that the wine festival there has great attraction.
Jan Gnoth, a representative of the Hechingen city marketing club, reported: "We had summer weather again this year, which had a positive impact on the event. Every place was once more placed, and the atmosphere was just great." The event not only counted many wine lovers, but also offered a diverse culinary experience that inspired the guests.
a multifaceted offer
The concept of the wine festival has once again proven to be completely viable. "We were lucky enough to welcome twelve other providers to our stand that presented a wide range of delights," added Gnoth proudly. The selection ranged from Württemberg wines to Italian antipasti to Franconian specialties.
The culinary highlights of the festival were diverse: from coffee and cocktails at "Luis Coffee" to stick bread at Vito Culjak to game specialties from the grill that offered the wild bretschütz, there was something for every palate. The musical accompaniment by the bands "Can’t Beat" and "Fezelkost" also contributed to the exuberant mood and had the guests enjoy being together to the fullest.
perspectives for the future
The Hechingen Wine Festival will also take place on the same date next year. Gnoth looks optimistically into the future: "We want to gradually enlarge and plan the event to expand two to three stands in 2025. It is important to us to stay on the Johannesbrücke so as not to endanger the proven concept."
With anticipation, the city marketing association looks at the next event, which will take place on November 23, 2023 as part of the "light of light". The Hechingen Wine Festival has impressively showed that a lively wine culture can also thrive far away from traditional wine growing areas, and thus sets a sign of a colorful, enjoyable community event.
