Bruno Frey Foundation donates 140 school bags for needy children!

In recent years, the Bruno Frey Foundation from Biberach has once again drawn attention to itself with a generous donation. To support children from low-income families, the foundation prepared around 140 high-quality school bags worth 11,000 euros for the 2025/2026 school year. According to schwaebische.de, 70 of these colorful satchels have already been distributed to future first graders in the district. The remaining school bags are reserved for children who move to the region during the current school year. The foundation wants to ensure that these families can also find the right retreat when the new school year begins.

Thomas Hagel, the foundation's managing director, emphasizes the tradition of this annual initiative. After all, the founder Bruno Frey, who gave his entire assets to the foundation in 2005, always attached great importance to supporting those in need. He supported not only social but also cultural projects during his lifetime. This is clearly reflected in the ongoing help of the Bruno Frey Foundation, which has made it its mission to support children from difficult backgrounds.

A sign of solidarity

Since 2011, the Bruno Frey Foundation has been giving school bags to children from low-income families every year. According to a Facebook post from the foundation, the project has reached thousands of children since its inception. This ongoing support is not only a material contribution, but also an important signal to the affected families. School bags are discreetly handed over to parents without the children knowing about this help, in order to provide an equivalent experience on the first day of school.

The Kinderglück Foundation is also part of this valuable initiative, which is supported by a dedicated team of around 30 volunteers. These helpers work tirelessly to organize the logistics and distribution of school bags and to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Because it takes a lot of effort to successfully implement such projects and at the same time protect the dignity of the families.

A good start for everyone

The goal of these projects is clear: children suffering from poverty should avoid stigma and be able to develop strong self-esteem. Every child should have the chance to have a carefree start to school without having to worry about financial resources. A school bag is not just a commodity; it symbolizes a new beginning and a respectful entry into a new phase of life. The Bruno Frey Foundation, together with the Kinderglück Foundation, is therefore sending a clear signal of respect and dignity that goes far beyond handing over school bags.
