In Biberach the film world is turned upside down - the 47th Biberach Film Festival is in full swing! From October 29th to November 2nd, the old city switches to “film mode”. Over 100 filmmakers have confirmed their attendance and will present their latest works together with the audience in a colorful setting. What’s special about it? The members of the film teams are on site at every screening in order to enter into dialogue after the presentation. A great opportunity for cinema fans to have direct exchanges with creative people.
The heart of the festival is the honorary award “Honorary Beaver”, which this year will be awarded to the well-known actress Nastassja Kinski. This is another reason not to miss the festival. The varied program includes more than 50 films from six different categories, including feature films, debut feature films, TV films and documentaries. Opening film and other highlights
The festival starts with a real banger: The opening film “The Murderers' Hour”, a historical thriller based on the author-artist Pavel Kohout, tells of a mysterious series of murders in Prague in 1945. This cinematic delight has a lot to offer with a running time of around 180 minutes and is presented in two parts: Part 1 runs on October 29th, Part 2 is planned for November 1st. On October 31st, the big film festival party will take place at the Hotel Kapuzinerhof, and entry is free, so ladies and gentlemen, this is an invitation that you shouldn't miss. For the Dhasiers there will be the closing gala in the town hall on November 2nd from 7:30 p.m. The coveted Beaver Prizes and the Honorary Beaver are awarded here, moderated by Willi Glück and accompanied by music by Eva Zalenga.
