A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning in Dürmentingen, more precisely in the Heudorf district. At around 6:45 a.m., a 13-year-old boy was crossing a pedestrian crossing on Dürmentinger Straße when he was hit by an approaching car. The 43-year-old driver of an Opel had obviously overlooked the boy and was unable to get out of the way in time. The impact was so violent that the boy was thrown onto the street and sustained injuries.

The ambulance immediately took the injured teenager to a clinic to receive medical care. The Riedlingen police have already started investigating the exact cause of the accident and announced that criminal proceedings will be initiated against the driver. The material damage to the vehicle is estimated at around 300 euros.
