On Friday, December 5, 2025, a remarkable traffic accident occurred near Gärtringen at around 3:45 p.m., which concerns the police in Herrenberg. A 19-year-old driver who was driving her Ford on the district road 1067 towards Gärtringen was struck by an unknown driver. He came towards her and touched the left wing mirror of the Ford without stopping. Both drivers continued driving, which constitutes a hit-and-run. The damage to the young woman's vehicle was estimated at around 1,500 euros. The 19-year-old immediately reported the incident to the police.
