Summer music Nagold: children's concert with Fridtjof Bundel inspires!

Music blossoms in Nagold: The concert series “Summer Music in the Upper Nagold Valley” will delight countless music lovers and curious people from August 5th to 20th, 2025. Almost 90 young musicians from different countries have gathered to enchant the audience with their sounds. From violin to viola to piano – the captivating performances are a real feast for the ears, and the great thing is that entry to many events is free!

Fridtjof Bundel, a master of art and the heart of this series, is active as an artistic companion and moderator. He not only brings his expertise as a director, musician and author, but also connects art and audience in a wonderful way. His texts, which were created in collaboration with the artistic director Adelheid Kramer, are characterized by their lively humor. He has already worked at renowned theaters such as the Meiningen State Theater and the Opernwerkstatt am Rhein and is now thrilled in the festive atmosphere of Nagold.

Children in focus

A highlight of the concert series is the hands-on concert for children, which will take place on August 14th at 3 p.m. in the foyer of the Nagold town hall. At this special event, the young musicians used the last few days to rehearse an appealing program, which they are now presenting to the children and their families. Entry is free for all young visitors - a valuable opportunity to take your first steps into the world of classical music!

These types of participatory concerts help children to actively participate in music, which is not only fun but also promotes their emotional and social development. While singing, clapping and dancing, children experience how music connects and stimulates creativity. Studies show that music activities improve memory and concentration, which is why the offer is particularly valuable for little ones, who can get to know classical instruments in a playful way, as described on [Kids Kultur Pass].

A wide-ranging program

But that's not all: Summer music attracts with a variety of events. From masterclasses led by international musicians, such as Vadim Gluzman's violin masterclass, to a musical walk hosted by Bundel, there is something for every music lover. On August 18th, an open lesson will be offered at the municipal music school for anyone interested. The final concert on August 20th at 7 p.m. in the Remigius Church represents the crowning conclusion of this musical holiday.

The range of events also includes special concerts in retirement homes as well as a special concert in the meeting room of the Calw district office in memory of Claude Starck, which will take place on August 12th. The Minister for Culture, Youth and Sport, Theresa Schopper, has taken over the patronage, which puts an additional shine on the entire event. Those interested can find detailed information about the program items on the summer music website at [Nagold].

With a colorful mix of talented young musicians, a captivating accompanying program and the opportunity for children to discover their love of music, summer music in the Upper Nagold Valley promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Music connects – and especially in these warm summer days, it is a wonderful way to celebrate togetherness!
