In Esslingen, the town church of St. Dionysus is being rebuilt in LEGO. An event for children will take place from August 19th to 23rd in the city museum.

Lego fans in Esslingen, watch out! The city church of St. Dionysus will shine in new splendor - not made of mortar and concrete, but of colorful Lego bricks. The designer Martin Schaal from Renningen has set himself the goal of reducing the scale of the landmark and invites you to an exciting construction event in the “Yellow House” city museum on the Hafenmarkt. This is reported by the Esslinger newspaper.
On August 19th, 20th and 21st and August 22nd and 23rd, children aged 8 to 12 can help create a large Lego city. On these days there are various slots available for the little builders. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. they can let their creativity run wild to design the city out of clamping blocks like this Onion informed.

Participation in this exciting project is possible for 9 euros per child and date, although children with an Esslingen culture pass or a state family pass can take part free of charge. This event is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition “Model Worlds and World Models from Esslingen”, which can be seen in the city museum until October 19, 2025.
