The preparations for the festival were intensive. The day before, apples were collected diligently on the Forchenkopf and at the administration office. A total of 600 kilograms were collected, which were then processed in an old chipper. All the effort paid off: 400 liters of delicious apple juice were produced, which was either filled into canisters or sterilized in Weck bottles.

Culinary highlights and community spirit

Another important part of the festival was the culinary offerings. A stand with onion tarts, freshly baked cakes and various drinks was very popular. Although the rain rained down tirelessly on the visitors, the helpers were full of good spirits and the community spirit was only strengthened by the event.

The large number of apples collected and the production of the juice showed how important traditions are in the region. The old cider press and the fresh apples symbolize the craft of the ancestors and create memories from generation to generation.

A look into the future

The festival was not only a success, but also shows how important such events are for village life. The organization of the village association seems to have a good hand - it only recently existed Open Garden Day, which was very well received with over 11 participating gardens and colorful activities for children. In the wonderful summer weather, there was great enthusiasm among the visitors. Everywhere there was a lot of conversation about garden care, plants and the exchange of tips.

The organizers were overwhelmed by the positive response, and the event will continue next year. Such community events not only strengthen solidarity, but also enrich the culture of the region.
