The scent of roasted almonds and mulled wine wafts through the festively decorated streets of Heidelberg. Today, on December 4th, 2025, the Heidelberg Christmas market has already opened its doors to visitors and is attracting visitors to the old town with a colorful program. The winter forest at Bismarckplatz will also remain open until January 1st, 2026, except for December 24th.

The ice rink on Karlsplatz, which attracts many visitors, is particularly in focus. Heidelberg Marketing highlights that the ice rink is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with special exceptions on public holidays.

Santa's house on the market square invites you to support local children's projects for a donation of 8 euros - a nice way to do good and immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit at the same time.
