Art highlight: Inspiration Paradise” exhibition in the Dreiländermuseum until June 22nd!
The anticipation is great! The inclusive art exhibition “Inspiration Paradise” will open in the Dreiländermuseum on March 21st at 6:30 p.m. Until June 22nd, the audience can admire the impressive works of 100 artists with disabilities. The exhibition is dedicated to the theme of “Paradise” and is not only a celebration of creativity, but also an important step towards inclusion in the art scene.
Together with nine partner institutions from the Lörrach district, Alsace and Basel, a variety of forms of expression were created that reflect the individuality of the participants. The works are inspired by art from the Dreiländermuseum collection as well as contemporary works of art, including by Michael Jacks, Imke Kämpf and Julia Moll-Rakus, which served as creative inspiration. Lörrach.de reports that the artists had the opportunity to collect their ideas at meetings in the Wenkenpark in Riehen and various museum visits.
Diverse program for the opening
The vernissage will be opened by Jan Merk, the museum director. The project managers Caroline Buffet and Susanne Raible will also speak introductory words. The evening will be accompanied musically by JuGru Basel, who will also contribute their own works of art. An inclusive choir from the Diakonie Wehr-Öflingen house, under the direction of Luise Martin-Ruffing, will also ensure the right atmosphere. After the official speeches, an aperitif with finger food will be offered to round off the evening in a convivial atmosphere. The opening promises to be another highlight in the region's cultural landscape, as RegioTrends reports.
Particular attention is paid to the art educational work of Christiane Puppel, who currently accompanies three artists from Atelier Frida. Verlagshaus Jaumann points out that the reflection on “exciting creative processes” in the art kitchen of the St. Josefshaus shows many facets of artistic creation.
Art and inclusion in focus
The inclusion day, which will take place on December 3rd, has the motto “Barrier-free through the three-country exhibition”. Visitors can look forward to guided tours in simple language and sign language. They are also allowed to touch objects, which promotes a playful approach to art. Workshops such as “Emma is blind” and “Painting blind with scented colors” offer a unique experience that appeals to the senses in a very special way.
The ongoing exhibition not only provides a platform for talented artists with disabilities, but is also a cornerstone of inclusion in the region's art scene. So if you would like to gain a deep insight into the diverse worlds of art and human experience, you should definitely visit the Dreiländermuseum!
