Are you already feverish? Next weekend, the market square in Ludwigsburg will be transformed into a true basketball mecca! The “3×3 Marketplace Open” event offers sports enthusiasts and families an exciting weekend full of action and fun. From July 25th to 27th, 2025, not only will the game be played for victory, but there will also be a good atmosphere and entertainment. As the Bietigheim newspaper reports, the event was launched in collaboration with Pflugfelder Immobilien GmbH and the German Basketball Federation (DBB) and appeals to both ambitious players and hobby basketball enthusiasts.
A total of four basketball courts will be set up on the market square, where different age groups and levels of ability will fight for honor. Special highlights are the school tournament and the company cup, while the league final of the Baden-Württemberg youth championship will be held on Sunday. Robin Wolf, who is responsible for organization at the MHP Riesen, describes this event as one of the largest in Baden-Württemberg and beyond.

The categories are diverse and offer something for everyone - whether for the students who compete in the school tournament or for the companies that want to show off their skills in the company cup. The schedule for the weekend is that the school and company tournaments will take place on Friday, while the men's and women's teams will play on Saturday. On Sunday, the U13 and U17 leagues will showcase all of the region's basketball talent.

The event is organized in close cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Basketball Association and the German Basketball Association. A special extra for the participating teams: Each team receives a Macron reversible shirt and a starter pack so that the players can start the race well equipped. And if you need a breather in between, you can look forward to music, delicious food and other entertainment options!
