K1669: Open to traffic after extensive renovation is finally here!

The roads are being built, the people are happy. On November 10, 2025, the K1669 between Affalterbach and Remseck-Hochdorf was finally reopened to traffic after extensive renovation work. The last construction phase between the access to Siegelhausen and Remseck-Hochdorf has now been completed and the residents can breathe a sigh of relief again.

In the last year and a half, the entire route was widened to six meters and rebuilt. Sharp curves and crests on the route have been defused, which not only increases road safety but also improves driving comfort. The first state official and head of the traffic department, Jürgen Vogt, commented positively on the opening to traffic: “The measures were worth it and we are happy to be able to offer you a better driving experience.”

• In Hochdorf wurden die Asphaltschichten ausgebaut und neue Schichten eingebaut. Darüber hinaus wurden Sanierungen an den Versorgungsleitungen für die Stadt Remseck durchgeführt.
• Der Abschnitt zwischen dem Ortsausgang Affalterbach und dem Abzweig Siegelhausen beinhaltete das Entschärfen von Kuppen sowie die Optimierung der Entwässerung. Auch hier wurde die Straße neu auf sechs Meter Breite hergestellt.
• Im letzten Bauabschnitt wurden ähnliche Arbeiten durchgeführt wie im vorherigen, einschließlich des barrierefreien Ausbaus der Bushaltestelle „Hochdorf Wendeplatte“.

The construction costs were within the approved range of 4.5 million euros. These savings and the successful implementation of the work are a further sign of the good hands of those responsible in project planning and execution.
