Ludwigsburg track attendant Nuri Dogru: Safety for the industrial train!

Anyone who travels in Ludwigsburg is sure to know the regular, usual rattle of the industrial train to the Lotter company. If you take a closer look, you quickly notice that there is a reliable track attendant behind it. Nuri Dogru, who has been in charge of this train for 30 years now, is an important part of the region's rail network. He ensures that everything runs smoothly and has been doing so for 35 years at Technical Services Ludwigsburg. The train, which travels from the Kornwestheim marshalling yard to the Lotter company several times a week at lunchtime, crosses the street eleven times - but everything still takes place with a certain degree of safety, even if Dogru has observed a few accidents with cars. Fortunately, he himself has not had any personal incidents.

The route of the industrial train stretches for around two kilometers through Victory Street, Gänsfußallee and Grönerstraße. While there are traffic lights in two places, it is often Dogru's job, as well as that of his colleague from DB Cargo, to play the “human traffic lights” and direct traffic. He has mastered such challenges well over the years. “Safety comes first,” he says, as he takes care of checking the tracks, removing sand and grit, lubricating the switches and monitoring the gauge. If something breaks, he informs DB Netz for repairs.

Safety solutions on rails

The importance of track safety is also recognized by SEC-Rail GmbH, which offers track safety services nationwide. Everywhere in Germany, whether in urban or rural areas, they offer adaptations to individual customer requirements. The company's flexibility makes it possible to respond to specific local conditions. The objective is clear: to ensure professional track safety measures in every project phase.

Nuri Dogru's many years of experience shows how important such services are. Children standing on the side of the road cheer him on with shining eyes when the train driver responds in a friendly manner by honking. This is not only a little sight of fun for the little passers-by, but also a reminder of the connection that the train has to the local people.

The industrial train to the Lotter company will remain an integral part of the Ludwigsburg region in the future. Regardless of whether the train is standing still or thundering along the tracks - with people like Nuri Dogru who ensure safety and smooth operations, the train remains a reliable transport option.
