Dennis Lucky Luke” Haddad: New World Championship Champion for the Black Scorpions!

An exciting weekend for the kickboxing community: On October 25, 2025, the eagerly awaited Steko's Fight Night took place in the small Olympiahalle in Munich. Fighters from the Mannheim martial arts center Black Scorpions competed here and celebrated two impressive victories. Particular focus was on the fight of Dennis “Lucky Luke” Haddad, who won his fifth professional world championship title according to the WKU version.

The fights were anything but boring. Wojciech Nowak, a talented 18-year-old under the leadership of coach Armia Abd Rabo, was able to convince in his B class fight in the -76 kg category against Endrit Tahiraj. Nunak dominated the action with strong boxing combinations and won the fight after three rounds.

Another great triumph

The highlight of Steko’s Fight Night was without a doubt Dennis Haddad’s title fight. The 32-year-old, who fought in the -66 kg weight class, took on challenger Emmanuel Canaveral. With the melancholic melody “Play me the song of death,” Haddad entered the ring and put everything on one card. The fight was scheduled to last five rounds, but Haddad only needed to fight until the fourth round. With a powerful left knee to the head, he ended the fight by knockout and thus crowned himself as the old and new professional world champion.

His coach, Armia Abd Rabo, was pleased with the success and the implementation of his carefully developed plan. “The team worked well together,” said Abd Rabo. Haddad now passes on his skills not only in the ring, but also as a trainer for the Black Scorpions in Mannheim and Viernheim, inspiring the next generation of fighters.

A look into kickboxing

Kickboxing has developed rapidly in recent years and is enjoying growing popularity. New talent regularly emerges from a variety of events. One example is Hannah Turner, who won the K1 kickboxing world championship title in the -65 kg category at another event in Munich last September by defeating Michaela Michl on points. Pascal Schroth also demonstrated his skills by finishing his fight in the -70 kg category by knockout.

Things remain exciting for the kickboxing world: the champions of the various associations regularly show first-class performances and contribute to the sport continuing to gain interest. It is clear that the fighting spirit and support of coaches have a great influence on the success of athletes, as the example of Dennis Haddad impressively proves.

The next big title fights are already coming up and everyone is looking forward to the athletes who want to follow in the footsteps of the champions. Now the fans have to keep their fingers crossed and keep their fingers crossed for the next big event!
