The city of Mannheim and the climate protection agency Mannheim invite all wheel lovers to participate in this year's edition of the internationally known city cycling. From June 23 to July 13, 2025 it says again: "Cycling for a good climate!". This eighth edition of the campaign is supposed to encourage many people to promote climate -friendly mobility habits this year. In this round, a city cycling star is also sought, who completely dispenses with car trips throughout the entire three weeks and divides his experience through social media and a blog. Interested parties can also register on the website to become part of this committed movement.

The framework program of the city cycling will be enriched in 2025 by a variety of activities. Among other things, guided bike tours, city tours and a travel lecture on cycling in Germany are planned. The Rhein-Neckar company bike day will also be a highlight. For the younger participants there is the "Tour de Karl" for students and the popular Free Bike tours.

It gets particularly exciting for the teams: a challenge cup in the form of the Mannheim water tower is awarded to the team that cycles most of the total kilometers. The winning team of the previous year, "Grüner Gockel Regio Süd", has already been integrated into this year's campaign to increase the incentive and motivate the participants.
