The 2025/26 ice hockey season in the PENNY DEL is just around the corner and the anticipation is already palpable. The new schedule was published on June 30, 2025, which promises many exciting encounters and highlights. Ice hockey league fans can look forward to a season with 52 main round games per team, which officially begins on September 9, 2025. This year the Eisbären Berlin start with a home game against the Dresden Eislöwen, who have been promoted to the league. The defending champions, the Eisbären Berlin, won the title last season with an impressive 4-1 win in the playoff final against the Kölner Haie - it will be a tough job to repeat that!
The Adler Mannheim start their campaign on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the SAP Arena with a home game against the Straubing Tigers. Another highlight for Mannheim is the duel against the Eisbären on September 19th, which is an absolute must in the calendar for many fans of the league. But that's not all: the opening weekend will end with an away game in Augsburg, and on September 21st it will be the “home game against ERC Ingolstadt” in Mannheim.
Important game breaks and events
The off-season on the calendar is also interesting for ice hockey fans. The German Cup break is coming up at the beginning of November, and the league will be on pause from February 1st to 22nd, 2026 because of the Winter Olympics in Milan. Another main round final will take place on March 15, 2026, and the entire spectacle is expected to end with the playoffs on May 7, 2026.
The Adler Mannheim have a total of 26 home games planned, including 12 on Sunday and 10 on Friday. These games will also be published on the official PENNY DEL homepage, and fans can look forward to individual tickets and various special match days, which will be announced in a timely manner. If you don't want to miss anything, a season ticket is recommended. To properly introduce the season, the “The boys are back in town” party will take place on August 1st, 2025, followed by an autograph session on September 2nd with the INTER insurance group.
