400 years of music: Aalen celebrates loyal orchestra members!

The Aalen Municipal Orchestra's honorary evening recently took place in the picturesque Naturfreundehaus Braunenberg. Musically accompanied by a talented trumpet ensemble under the direction of Andreas Maile, the event celebrated the extraordinary achievements of 20 musicians who together can look back on a proud 400 years of active commitment. This recognition is not only a testament to the passion of the honorees, but also reflects the deep-rooted musical community in the region Swabian Post reported.

During his speech, the orchestra's deputy chairman, Florian Mohaupt, emphasized the immense importance of voluntary work in the musical field. Together with Hubert Rettenmaier, chairman of the Ostalbkreis brass music association, he presented the honors. Some musicians were able to look forward to coveted badges of honor, including:

  • Ehrennadel in Bronze für 10 Jahre aktive musikalische Tätigkeit: Anna Allgaier, Aeneas Ellenrieder, Finn Stammler, Nadine Hägele, Robin Neubauer, Sabine Bäuerle und Timo Enssle.
  • Ehrungen für 20 Jahre aktive Tätigkeit: Anna Vogel, Katja Schindelbeck und Verena Steinert.
  • Ehrung für 30 Jahre aktive Tätigkeit: Thomas Rieck.
  • Ehrennadel für 10 Jahre ehrenamtliches Engagement: Mario Forster.
  • Ehrungen für 10 Jahre aktives Musizieren: Anna Vogel, Leonie Gaßmann, Marisa Gaßmann und Timo Enssle.
  • Ehrennadel in Gold mit Kranz für 30 Jahre aktives Musizieren: Thomas Rieck.
  • Ehrenurkunde für 65 Jahre aktives Musizieren: Peter Schmid und Siegfried Geisser.

“These musicians are pillars of cultural life in the region,” Rettenmaier praised the honorees and truly, without their commitment, the local musical culture would not be the same. It is remarkable that not only the music itself is celebrated, but also the people who make an invaluable contribution through their dedication and passion.

Insights into overall engagement

A total of 32 members of the municipal orchestra have been honored for their services in recent years, bringing them to an impressive 840 years of making music together Swabian. Mayor Karl-Heinz Ehrmann praised the orchestra's tireless efforts, especially at city events, and emphasized the importance of the musical community.

In addition to the current honors, the municipal orchestra is planning an Advent concert on November 28th at 6 p.m. in the Salvatorkirche Aalen, where the musicians' talents will once again be showcased. Here the city has the opportunity to express its appreciation for the cultural contributions of the musicians and also to inspire the younger generation for music.
