A 63-year-old man is suspected of attacking his 51-year-old roommate with a kitchen knife. This argument escalated around 11:30 a.m. when the suspect picked up an approximately 20 cm long kitchen knife and stabbed his victim several times in the direction of his victim's upper body. During the attack, the victim suffered two stab and cut injuries to the rib area, but was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were considered non-life-threatening. The police arrested the suspected attacker on site and presented him to an investigating judge in Mannheim the following day. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, and the 63-year-old was taken to a correctional facility.
