European Mobility Week: A look outside the box

The European Mobility Week has been organized by the European Commission since 2002 and aims to promote sustainable mobility in municipalities. It creates platforms for innovative transport solutions and informs citizens about climate-friendly mobility options. In 2024, 2,766 cities and municipalities in 46 European countries took part in this initiative.

Every year, with a special motto, the week will also take up the topics “Mix and Move! – climate-friendly mobile” in 2025. In this regard, campaigns for climate protection and mobility should also take place in schools in North Rhine-Westphalia. These initiatives, as presented by Ministry of Education NRW are particularly aimed at children and young people and encourage them to think about their journey to school and to walk independently and safely.

Mobility Week is more than just an event; it is intended to provide inspiration and help promote eco-friendly habits. Be there and take advantage of the chance to discover sustainable mobility!
