In Spechbach, a quiet community in the Rhein-Neckar district, there were two brazen apartment burglaries on Friday, November 7th, 2025, which left the police with a big mystery. The break-ins occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 10:20 p.m., during a time frame when many citizens were not at home. Like that Metropolitan Journal reported, it is currently being examined whether there is a connection between the two incidents.

The first break-in took place on “Epfenberghöhe” street. The perpetrators apparently gained access to the building through the patio door and searched several rooms. Cash was stolen, but the exact amount remains unclear. According to information from Press portal The second break-in occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Panoramastrasse. Here, two males forced their way in by removing a grille and breaking a window on the ground floor. Here, too, several rooms were searched and a safe was taken. Estimates of the value of the stolen goods are still pending.

Escape and investigation

After the break-ins, both perpetrators appear to have fled via a patio door and an adjacent property. The property damage is currently unclear, but the concerned community is taking the incidents very seriously. The Heidelberg Criminal Investigation Department has set up an investigation team to comprehensively investigate this double incident and catch the perpetrators.
