New coaching team at SG Stetten-Kleingartach: departure with opportunities!

A lot is happening in the world of football: SG Stetten-Kleingartach has introduced a new coaching team that is intended to bring a breath of fresh air and new strategies into the game. Erik Heidelberger takes over the position of interim head coach and brings with him valuable experience from the district league. He receives support from Marinko Balikic, who as an assistant coach not only provides technical expertise but also plays an important role in the team's defense. The third member of the group is Enes Zafer, who unfortunately has to wait until the second half of the season to actively intervene in the action. The aim of the new trio is to fill the points account and give the players back the fun of football, as FuPa reports.

But there is news not only in Stetten-Kleingartach. The Rems/Murr/Hall football district has reported several game cancellations due to the pitches being unplayable. The games in the district league A4, district league B6 and a women's district league match had to be canceled. Further negative news came from SGM SV Tiefenbach/Satteldorf II, which immediately withdrew its women's team from playing - all previous games will henceforth be counted as test games.

A look at the indoor championships

The Northern Black Forest football district announced the women's indoor district championships, which are scheduled to take place on January 17, 2026 in Freudenstadt. Eight of a total of 18 possible teams have already registered. Among the teams registered are well-known names such as Spvgg Berneck-Zwerenberg and SV Eutingen. The registration deadline for the teams is November 23, 2025, which will certainly make some coaches and players excited.

Interest in women's football is constantly growing. According to Statista, over 75% of women surveyed in Germany show a strong interest in this sport. The popularity is also evident in the large number of active female kickers: around 100,000 women and 107,000 girls up to the age of 16 are active in football in Germany, which led to almost 9,700 female teams last season.

In international comparison, the German women's national team has a lot to show. She has not only won two world championship titles, but also eight European championship titles. Particularly notable is the victory at the UEFA Women's EURO 2025, where England, as defending champions, triumphed in the final against Spain and Germany were eliminated in the semi-finals.

Overall, women's football remains an exciting and dynamic field that will certainly offer some surprises and highlights in the coming months - both at local and international level. With new trainers and increased interest, one can only hope that the challenges ahead will be mastered with flying colors!
