The popular castle spectacle in Königsfeld is just around the corner and everything is going according to plan. Responsible for an exciting program are spa manager Andrea Hermann, event manager Lucia Augstein and Ursula Biebinger, chairwoman of the Burgspektakelverein. Ticket sales are already hot, and sales are expected to increase as the weather improves. Preparations at the castle are in the final stages, technology is being installed and safety instructions are being finalized. Special attention is paid to safety: people with physical disabilities are not allowed to enter the castle for safety reasons, and a new electrical team ensures that everything is implemented according to the country's specifications.

An exciting highlight of the program is the in-house production “Kaspar’s Short Dream of Happiness,” which will premiere on Friday, July 18, 2025. Under the direction of Olaf Jungmann, the theater group is busy rehearsing. The story of the play is about Kaspar Hauser, a young man who shows up in Nuremberg in 1828 and claims to have spent his life in a dungeon. The uncertainty about his origins, whether he is a swapped child of noble birth, gives the drama a special depth.

A versatile program

The premiere will take place at 8:00 p.m. and there will be further performances on the following dates: July 24th, 25th and 27th and August 1st and 2nd, 2025. What a treat! The choir will open the evening musically, while piano cabaret artist Sebastian Schnitzer will provide additional entertainment.

On Saturday, July 26th, Heike Sauer alias Marlies Blume will delight the audience with her cabaret “With Head, Heart, Hand and Foot”. The next day, July 27th, the family theater “WAKEBELE”, which is suitable for children aged five and over, awaits the little guests. And for music lovers, the band “Eat The Beat” will put you in a party mood with soul classics on Thursday, July 31st. On Saturday, August 2nd, the family theater play “Zwerg Nase”, based on the well-known fairy tale by Wilhelm Hauff, is on the program.

Practical information and safety instructions

The Beck family will take care of your physical well-being and offer all sorts of snacks in the Waldauschänke every day from 6:00 p.m. throughout the event. If you want to be sure that the performances take place as planned, you can contact the weather hotline at 0173-658-6887 before the events begin. Admission to the events begins half an hour in advance and everyone present is asked to wear sturdy shoes and pay attention to hearing protection, as the castle ruins are not accessible to physically impaired people and dogs are not allowed in the theater area.

Adults pay €18 for tickets for “Kaspar’s Short Dream of Happiness”, €8 for reduced tickets, and €15 with a guest card. Heike Sauer's cabaret costs €19 for adults and €9 for concessions. The family theater plays “WAKEBELE” and “Zwerg Nase” can be attended for €7 each for adults and €21 for the family ticket. Enjoy an unforgettable evening in this wonderful setting!
