Complete closure in Hirrlingen: diversions from November 24, 2025!

In Hirrlingen, extensive maintenance work will be carried out on the L392, especially in the Frommenhauser Straße section, from Monday, November 24, 2025. This full closure is expected to last until November 29, 2025, 5:00 p.m., as news.de reported. The length of the closure is 32 meters and the focus is on repairing a pedestrian crossing.

There are two alternative routes for cars that have been put in place to ensure traffic flows during the work. The first diversion leads via Rottenburger Straße, Brunnenstraße, Marktstraße, Hechinger Straße, Haigerlocher Straße and Bietenhauser Straße, which means around 9.3 kilometers and around 13 minutes of additional travel time. The second diversion applies to both cars and trucks and runs via Rottenburger Straße, Hohenzollernstraße, Tübinger Straße, Poststraße, Niedernauer Straße, Obernauer Straße and Raiffeisenstraße, which results in 20.9 kilometers or 25 minutes longer travel time.

Renovation progress and traffic bans

As part of the ongoing renovation of the Hirrlingen town thoroughfare, which extends in a second and final construction phase from Kronenstrasse to the Haas car repair shop, the issue of transit bans is also coming into focus. At the last municipal council meeting, the mayor's deputy Johannes Pfemeter asked for clarification about the bans at the entrance to the town on Hechinger Straße. Although the road has been freshly paved and is passable, the ban on passage remains in place. Only public buses are allowed to go to the stops on both sides, informed people schwarzwaelder-bote.de.

Mayor Simon König has announced that the work should probably be completed by the end of November. Until then, the main street will remain closed to through traffic to relieve pressure on residents. The authority has also made it clear that road users who ignore the traffic ban will be subject to police checks and corresponding fines.

The diversions for those affected and clear communication from the community are intended to help keep the inconvenience for residents and road users passing through as low as possible. Despite the challenges this poses, the municipality seems determined to complete the construction work promptly and thus sustainably improve traffic conditions in Hirrlingen.
