New community center in Aldingen: A village united in faith!

The construction of a new community center in Aldingen is imminent. After four years of planning, the Aldingen parish gave the starting signal for the ambitious project. “Schwäbische reports that ...” The building permit was ceremoniously handed over just two weeks ago, and the first symbolic step for the earthworks was taken on Tuesday with the groundbreaking ceremony. These are expected to begin in the second week of November.

The new community center will cover an impressive 300 square meters of floor space and a total area of 450 square meters. The construction costs amount to around 2.7 million euros, which are financed by a combination of grants from the Stuttgart church administration and the Rottweil church district as well as income from the sale of the old parish hall and donations from parishioners. Pastor Oliver Helmers emphasizes how important this new building is for the community and the surrounding areas.

A house for the community

The decision to build a new building was made against renovating the old community center. However, one community member protests the high costs and favors a cheaper renovation. Nevertheless, those responsible agree that the advantages of the new building justify the investment. Ralf Sulzmann, another board member, emphasizes the role of donations and the amount of time invested in this project. However, further financial support is urgently needed, especially for the interior design of the new house.

The new community center is being built using solid construction and is equipped with a photovoltaic system and a heat pump. The upper floors are intended for adult work, while youth work is located on the ground floor. The old community center, which has now been sold, will be taken over by the Diakonie, where day care will be set up.

Support through funding programs

Financing a project of this size is supported by various funding programs. "BMF reports that ..." The federal government's municipal investment program enables cities and municipalities to promote investments in municipal buildings through grants. From 2025, a total of 211 million euros will be available for this purpose, which will flow directly into the municipal infrastructure. This funding aims to improve communication and everyday dysfunctions in communities while facilitating investment activity.

With these steps, the Aldingen parish would like to create a modern center that meets the needs of the community. It remains to be hoped that the planned work will be completed quickly and successfully in order to give the parish and the surrounding areas a new home.
