Südwest Messe 2025: Over 100,000 visitors celebrate diversity of innovation!
The Southwest Fair 2025 opened its doors today and promises to delight visitors from the region with a variety of exhibitors and a colorful supporting program. Peter Hauk, CDU Minister for Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection, opened the trade fair and highlighted the central role of cities, municipalities and companies in rural areas. He underlined the importance of this event for the economic development of the region.
Jürgen Roth, Mayor of Villingen-Schwenningen, sees the trade fair as a reflection of the region's inventive spirit and is pleased with the variety of innovations presented. The Südwest trade fair not only attracts around 500 exhibitors and more than 10,000 products and services, it is also known as the largest consumer trade fair in the Black Forest. With over 100,000 visitors expected and the extensive offering in 17 halls and a large outdoor area, it is a real highlight.
Diverse offers and special shows
The fair runs until June 22nd and opens its doors daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can look forward to numerous new products from the areas of building and living, household and garden, health and fitness. Many guests appreciate the opportunity to test and compare products and get advice directly at the stand.
A look at the special shows shows the wide range of offerings: The “Rhine Water” special show addresses the problem of microplastics in water bodies, while “Games for Families” presents family-friendly games. There are also numerous activities for the little trade fair visitors that promise a lot of fun.
A colorful supporting program
Musically, the Southwest Fair is also a festival: the Spider Murphy Gang, the cult duo “die Kächeles” and the band “Herzfeuer”, among others, will perform in the festival tent. On Sunday, June 16th, the “Land & People Day – A day with agriculture” is on the program, while on Monday, June 17th, a “Happy and Cheerful” morning with hits and folk music will ensure a good mood.
The trade fair is not only a marketplace for the whole family, but also a hot spot for personalities from politics, sports and entertainment. Entry to the Black Forest Festival Tent, where live music takes place daily, is included in the ticket price.
