Harder Logistics opens new location in Neu-Ulm – earlier than planned!

A milestone in the logistics industry was celebrated yesterday in Neu-Ulm. Harder Logistics has opened its new logistics hall in the Riffelbank industrial estate – two months earlier than planned. “We had a good hand in planning and implementing it,” enthused managing director Marcello Danieli at the ceremony.

To properly mark the completion of the construction project, authorized representative Johannes Danieli placed a symbolic keystone - an impressive work of art made of concrete that shows the company name. The 13-ton work of art was transported into place with the help of a low-loader and a crane. This work of art was donated by the responsible construction company Blautal, which underlines the connection between art and logistics in this project.

The new location

The new Harder Logistics location not only includes a logistics hall with an area of 4,800 square meters, but also a two-story office building and spacious outdoor areas for the fleet. With a total investment volume of around nine million euros, the company remains below planned costs. The hall itself is designed so that it can be used flexibly for storing a wide variety of goods, be it machines, furniture or even art exhibits.

But that's not all: the existing shelving system for the file management division has been expanded by a third and can now hold 14 kilometers of files. In addition, a fully automated container warehouse was opened in 2022, offering state-of-the-art logistics solutions with a capacity for 250 containers and an autonomous storage and retrieval process via an app.

Strategic positioning and sustainability

The opening of the new location is part of the strategic positioning of Harder Logistics. The direct connection to the A7 motorway and the B10 European route offers significant advantages for future business development. Harder Logistics also pursues a comprehensive sustainability strategy: a photovoltaic system for its own power supply, charging infrastructure for the fleet and modern heating and cooling systems are just some of the measures the company has taken.

“We focus on innovation and sustainability,” says Marcello Danieli, who emphasizes the company’s long-term planning. “With our new logistics hall we can optimally implement the central control of all business activities.”

Harder Logistics, founded in 2003 and based in Neu-Ulm, is active in the areas of company relocation, industrial assembly, clean-up and file management and already employs 85 people. Well-known customers include Diehl Aviation, Liebherr and Beiersdorf. With an annual turnover of over 10 million euros and a fleet of 30 specialized vehicles, the company is well positioned for the future.

The enthusiasm about the new location is palpable, not only among those responsible at Harder Logistics, but also among the community of Neu-Ulm, which sees these developments as an important stimulus for the local economy. It remains to be seen what new opportunities and projects will emerge with this solid foundation.

Augsburger Allgemeine reports that the new logistics hall can be used in a variety of ways. In a similar way, the website of Harder Logistics the details of strategic positioning and the focus on sustainability.
