Traffic chaos on the A7: 12 km traffic jam between Ulm and Füssen!
The traffic on the A7 between Ulm and Füssen/Reutte is currently not doing well. As the Augsburger Allgemeine reported, longer journey times are to be expected as there is a twelve kilometer long traffic jam between the Vöhringen and Dettingen an der Iller exits. Drivers have to expect an additional 30 minutes here, which significantly extends the journey. The reason for the disruption is construction work that has been underway since the beginning of July.
Things become particularly precarious on a section of around eight kilometers long, where the maximum speed is currently only 80 km/h. Between Illertissen and Illertal West the roadway will be narrowed from three lanes to one lane. This restriction will remain in place until August 8th, posing a major challenge for commuters in the region as well as travelers.
