Michael Obermayer becomes the new ÖDP leader in the Aichach-Friedberg district!
There is a breath of fresh air in the ÖDP in the Aichach-Friedberg district: Michael Obermayer from Kissing was recently elected as the new district chairman. The 36-year-old electrical engineer brings fresh ideas and plans to stand with a strong list of candidates for the upcoming district council elections. Interested career changers from the community are warmly invited to contact Obermayer to become part of this committed team. You can contact him at michael.obermayer@oedp.de to obtain information on upcoming topics and opportunities for participation, as [augsburger- Allgemeine.de](https://www.augsburger- Allgemeine.de/friedberg/michael-obermayer-ist-neuer-oedp-kreis Chairman-im-landkreis-aichach-friedberg-112705834) reports.
The new board election took place under the leadership of state chairman Tobias Ruff. In addition to Obermayer, Sebastian Thumbach from Aindling as deputy district chairman, Andreas Meyer from Mering as treasurer and Walburga Bäck as assessor are also setting new trends within the ÖDP. Previously, the long-standing services of the incumbent district council members Berta Arzberger, Maria Posch and Johannes Kreppold were honored.
Petitions and environmental protection
One of Obermayer's central concerns is supporting the petitions “Save our drinking water!” and “Stop eating up space!”. These initiatives aim to anchor the protection of drinking water and the careful use of land in the constitution. In the upcoming local election campaign, Obermayer wants to actively collect signatures for petitions in order to increase awareness and commitment to environmental issues in the region.
The ÖDP has already achieved success throughout Bavaria and currently has six mayors. The first include, for example, Anita Bogner in Rain and Rolf Beuting in Murnau. These local elected officials show that the ÖDP can also exert influence on a regional level, as oedp.de emphasizes.
Social commitment
The motto “Share instead of watch” runs through the activities of the new ÖDP leadership. Obermayer and his team are open to suggestions from the public and would like to involve citizens more closely in political processes. The new board sees itself as a mouthpiece for the concerns of the people in the district and wants to actively contribute to improving the quality of life.
The upswing brings fresh ideas, and citizens are invited to actively support this path. The ÖDP under Obermayer's leadership could soon become an important factor in the district's political events - the commitment and the will to change are already there!
