Advent highlights: Bad Tölz celebrates the Christmas market with splendor!
The pre-Christmas season has begun and in Bad Tölz it is celebrated in a very special way. It will be presented from November 28th to December 24th, 2025 Christmas market in the historic Marktstrasse. Festively decorated stands invite you to get in the mood for the upcoming Christmas. Every day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., visitors can browse around 40 lovingly decorated wooden stalls that offer Christmas decorations, handicrafts and culinary delights.
The market has something to offer for young and old. Children can look forward to a carousel, while adults have plenty of treats to keep them going. Highlights are the visit of Santa Claus and the popular concerts, which create a Christmas atmosphere. The traditional Krampus Run also provides excitement and entertainment at the market year after year. The entire festive magic is accompanied by the sounds of regional music groups who enrich the market with singing and musical performances.
Weekend celebrations
The Christmas market was ceremoniously opened last weekend. Mercury reported that the celebrations opened with a brass group and the Tölzer Boys' Choir. The following weekend offered a variety of events. On Saturday, November 29th, a bazaar took place in Bad Tölz for the benefit of the Burkina Faso Association, and in Benediktbeuern there was a surprise concert to get in the mood for Advent.
Sunday, November 30th also had special events in store. A Lions Club book market took place in the town museum's community hall, while a concert by the Machado Quartet entitled “Haydn, Shepherds, Hollywood” was on the program in the inn. In addition, great events such as Forest Christmas and Advent singing also took place in Bad Heilbrunn and Fischbach. Meanwhile, the Bad Heilbrunn Volunteer Fire Department created a convivial atmosphere with its mulled wine stand.
