Last Monday, August 11, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A70 near Bamberg, which had significant consequences. At around 8:30 p.m., a 24-year-old motorcyclist traveling in the direction of Bayreuth lost control of his two-wheeler for reasons that are still unclear. The emergency services arrived on site in a very short time to provide further treatment. The police then took over the scene and started the clean-up work, which closed the A70 for around an hour.
