Bayern sweeps Leverkusen from the field 3-0 – top of the table guaranteed!
A fantastic performance by FC Bayern Munich on November 2nd, 2025 in the Allianz Arena brought enthusiastic faces and happy songs. With an impressive 3-0 win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Bayern celebrated their 15th competitive win of the current season. The Munich team showed once again that they have the Bundesliga firmly under control and remain top of the table after the game with a whopping ten point lead over the Werkself.
All three goals came in the first half. Leon Goretzka, a player once again in good form, was there to score before Jackson and Guerreiro followed up. In this first section, Bayern played more than 250 passes - a clear indication of who was controlling the game. In contrast, Leverkusen didn't even complete 100 passes and were virtually non-existent offensively.
Leverkusen's first defeat in 37 games
This day was a bitter setback for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After 37 away league games without defeat, the players now have to admit defeat against Bayern of all teams. Coach Hjulmand had rested some key players to keep them fit for future challenges. Nevertheless, it was noticeable to the group that they were missing their usual rhythm.
The statistics are clear: Leverkusen were unbeaten in the last five Bundesliga duels against Bayern. But in this game the old truth emerged once again: FC Bayern is a tough brute in their own arena that is not easy to crack.
Tactical decisions and personnel changes
Another point that spoke for Bayern was the selection of the squad. Coach Vincent Kompany made seven changes to the starting line-up, which proved to be spot on. The fresh forces were motivated and were decisive for the clear victory. On the Leverkusen side, however, the hoped-for impulses failed to materialize, which Bayern knew how to cleverly exploit.
Deniz Aytekin led the game confidently and once again made a name for himself in the Bundesliga. It seems that the Allianz Arena remains a place of triumph for the Munich team and a less pleasant one for their challengers. One thing is clear: the season is still long, but this victory has given FC Bayern a further boost, while Leverkusen first has to reorient themselves.
