Early on Friday morning, July 4, 2025, a small fire was reported in front of the former federal police building in Bad Reichenhall. The local police officers received the alarm at around 4:45 a.m., and the residents themselves reacted quickly and extinguished the fire. The fire broke out for unknown reasons and the criminal police have started investigating in all directions. Fortunately, there were no injuries and the damage amounted to a few hundred euros, as pnp.de reported.
Several parts of a kitchenette were placed in front of the entrance portal, which could possibly have a connection to the fire. However, the investigators are only at the beginning of their investigations and have several approaches in mind. Despite the event, there is a good mood in the city, as the city festival on Saturday will continue to take place as planned, according to the press spokesman.

The latest incident is not the first fire that has affected Bad Reichenhall in recent months. On April 5, 2025, there were two fire brigade operations in an apartment building on Getreidegasse. A garbage can and a bicycle storage room burned. Intentional arson played a decisive role in the events, as the Bavarian Police explained. A woman suffered minor smoke inhalation in the first fire, while total property damage was estimated at around 15,000 euros.
The Traunstein criminal police investigated serious arson and called on the public to help. Such incidents raise questions and require special attention. Recent events are raising concerns in the community.
