Siegfried Zistler: A farewell after 25 years of formative schooling in Cham

An era will end at the Cham State Vocational School Center at the end of the month. Headmaster Senior Director of Studies Siegfried Zistler was retired yesterday in a heartwarming ceremony. The event, which was moderated by Norina Höpfl and Abdulrahmam Hardn, took place in the school's festively decorated auditorium. Among the guests was District Administrator Franz Löffler, who acknowledged Zistler's significant contribution to school history in the Cham district. He emphasized the importance of the connection between school, education and regional development and highlighted the lineage of Zistler's work at the vocational school, which brings together students from 63 national borders.

Events surrounding the farewell

In a personal moment, Löffler gave Zistler an office chair as a symbolic gift. Government Vice President Christiane Zürn recognized Zistler as a committed educator and presented him with a retirement certificate. On behalf of the school community, Andreas Bucher and Julia Mörsdorf from the staff council conveyed their warm words of thanks to Zistler for the good cooperation. Zistler started the celebrations with a small inline skate course - a humorous anecdote that demonstrated his sporting ambition.

After 25 years of working in a managerial position, Zistler looked back on his time at the vocational school in his speech. Memories from childhood were mixed with an important message about caring for the environment. Before he left the school, he handed over the symbolic key to his successor, director of studies Ulrich Fischer, who is already looking forward to the new challenges with euphoria.

New principal on board

With Zistler's retirement, Ulrich Fischer will take over the management of the vocational school center. Fischer has a lot of experience and will contribute his skills to continuing Zistler's successful path. This promises stability and further development of the vocational school's diverse offerings, including the technical school, a vocational school plus and 15 integration classes.

Education as the key to development

Education is not only a key to personal development, but also to regional development. According to the German Education Server, the German education system is well positioned and offers comprehensive information for the general public. The creation of educational institutions that integrate young people and prepare them for the labor market is therefore of great importance. This is supported by the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs, which regularly publishes statistics and reports on the level of education in Germany German education server.

Farewells are often bittersweet, but the memories of the past years and the positive impulses that Zistler leaves behind will resonate in Cham for a long time. A new phase is now beginning for the school community, which is expected with a lot of optimism.
