GOATS win clearly in Dachau: Paul Stommel shines as MVP!

On November 2nd, 2025, the GOATS won a convincing 3-1 win in the away game against Dachau. The team showed from the start that they were focused and well prepared. They shone in the first two sets with aggressive serves, clear attacks and strong block defense. Set 1 ended with 25:17 and set 2 also went to the GOATS with 25:18. That was a start that left me wanting more.

What happened in the third set? Dachau found their composure and impressed with clever attacks, which earned them the set win 25:20. But the GOATS didn't let that discourage them. In the fourth set they picked up the pace again and secured the set 25:20. Captain Paul Stommel's performance was outstanding and he was rightly honored as MVP of the game. He emphasized that the first two sets were according to the game plan, but the third set made it clear to the GOATS that they must constantly improve to achieve their goals, especially the playoffs.
