With this victory, the DSC climbs to third place in the table, which further increases the motivation for the upcoming duels.

Preparation for the Danube derby

On Tuesday, October 28th, it's finally derby time! Deggendorfer SC meets the Passau Black Hawks in the first Danube derby of the league season. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. in the Passauer Arena. The two teams know each other from the pre-season, in which the DSC lost 3:4 in a close game, which further increases the anticipation for the big duel. However, Deggendorf is ahead in the last comparison games and goes into the derby with a clear goal: defend the top of the table!

While Deggendorf is riding a wave of success, the Black Hawks have to be careful not to lose touch after an unfortunate defeat against EV Lindau (1:3) last Friday. With five wins from eleven games, they are currently in fifth place in the table. Head coach Thomas Vogl will have to prepare his team as best as possible, because the Black Hawks also want to shine in the top league and must not lose sight of the chance of their first derby victory in Deggendorf.

The numbers speak for Deggendorf

The fans can look forward to an exciting game. In previous encounters, Deggendorfer SC has won six out of eight main round matches. The Black Hawks should pay particular attention to discipline, as they occupy last place in the fair play table with 242 penalty minutes.

  • Deggendorfer SC: 6 Siege aus 8 Spielen
  • Passau Black Hawks: 5 Siege aus 11 Spielen

This derby could be a real spectacle for spectators. The Black Hawks' last games were real goal festivals, with an average of over 8 goals being scored. Passau's powerplay games are also dangerous; with a power play rate of 21.7%, they don't make it easy for their opponents.

The anticipation for the derby is palpable, over 2,400 tickets have already been sold and the decision on a possible box office is still pending. Viewers definitely shouldn't miss this hit!
