Construction work in Ebersberg: Closure at town hall extended until July 14th!

In the beautiful town of Ebersberg, residents and commuters can expect slightly longer waiting times. The construction site at the intersection in front of the town hall will be divided into two, and the closures will now last longer than originally planned. Specifically, the first construction phase will be extended until July 14, 2025, while Heinrich-Vogl-Straße will not be accessible until August 8, 2025. [Merkur].

The renovation work began on June 10, 2025 and primarily affects Eberhardstrasse and Heinrich-Vogl-Strasse. The old water pipe on Heinrich-Vogl-Straße needs to be replaced, which has repeatedly caused pipe bursts due to its dilapidated condition. [Ebersberg].

Important information about rerouting

The diversion routes are already signposted and are intended to direct traffic as best as possible. Pedestrians cannot pass through the affected area and are redirected via Marienplatz and Valtorgasse. Cyclists are also asked to get off and push their bikes in this section. Süddeutsche describes the diversions for cars and trucks that have to be rerouted over a wide area. For example, the diversion between Marienplatz and the northern Eberhardstrasse leads westwards via Bahnhofstrasse and Wasserburger Strasse to the B 304 to Steinhöring.

Heavy goods traffic (over 3.5 tons) has to take other routes and is routed via Bahnhofstrasse and Wasserburger Strasse onto the B 304 to Edling. From there it goes via RO 42/MÜ 46 to Albaching. Road users in Ebersberg will have to prepare for a few detours until the work is completed and the roads can be used again in the usual way.

The city administration asks everyone affected to understand the inconvenience that the construction work will cause. The measures are necessary to improve the infrastructure and bring the supply line up to date. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2025 at the latest, so that the Ebersbergers will soon be able to drive through the city without any worries again.
