Construction begins for a safe cycle path between Anzing and Forstinning!
A new cycle path between Anzing and Forstinning brings a breath of fresh air to the region and not only ensures greater safety, but also better connections to the districts of Unterasbach, Heilig Kreuz and Niederried. The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Friday, November 14th at 12:30 p.m. This marks the start of a project that will significantly improve mobility in the area. Mercury reports that the first clearing work for hedges and trees along the old B12 will begin on Monday, November 10th.
The construction work itself will start on Monday, November 17th and will be carried out by the Swietelsky company. It is planned to modernize the water pipe while the cycle path is being built, which will kill several birds with one stone - a modern infrastructure at a reasonable cost.
An ambitious project
The total costs for planning and construction are over three million euros, with the Ebersberg district investing around one million euros. A real benefit for the region, because more than 75 percent of the eligible costs are borne by the federal government - so a large piece of the cake, estimated at around two million euros, comes directly from Berlin. According to BMV The promotion of cycling in Germany will remain stable in 2025, which will sustainably support the project.
Investing in cycling is not only a practical matter, but also contributes to achieving the federal government's climate protection goals. Cycling is increasingly seen as an integral part of the mobility mix in Germany. The entire event and the project are an expression of a good knack for environmentally friendly transport solutions.
Costs and funding in focus
Particularly noteworthy are the costs incurred within the city, which are around 310,000 euros. Those responsible can expect funding of around 50 percent plus X. These financial resources demonstrate the commitment of local and federal levels to further promote and expand cycling.
A combination of well thought-out planning and attractive funding makes this construction project a flagship project for the region. So the next time you cycle from Anzing to Forstinning, you will not only be safer, but also more environmentally conscious. This is about more than just cycle paths - it's about quality of life and an environmentally friendly mobility mix for the future!
